St Kitts and Nevis
The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis is a two-island state floating in the waters of the Caribbean. They are part of the Leeward Islands. Its history is filled with bloody battles starting with the Indian tribes fighting among each other, continuing through until the battles for supremacy by France and England. The islands gained independence from Britain in 1983. The two islands are a perfect couple with their intoxicating natural beauty. Warm clear waters of the Caribbean and sandy beaches contrast with the volcanic mountains. Even the national Anthem of the country reflects the wonders of its nature, as it is called “The Land of Beauty!” St Kitts and Nevis is a constitutional monarchy with Westminster-style parliament with Elizabeth II as the head of state. The capital and the headquarters of the government are located on the larger island, St Kitts. The country is well-known for its low taxes and offshore finance is one of its largest industries.
