The Marshall Islands (officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands) is an island country located in the northern Pacific Ocean nearly midway between Indonesia and Hawaii, and are the easternmost island group in Micronesia.

Politically, the Marshall Islands is a presidential republic in free association with the United States. The country uses the United States dollar as its currency. The official language is English. However, the Marshallese population is largely bilingual, being equally fluent in English and Marshallese. The Islands have a population of just over 67,182 most of who live in the capital Majuro.

Unlike many offshore jurisdictions, the Marshall Islands statutorily exempts non-resident domestic corporations from taxes.
