Cyprus
Cyprus is an island country floating in the waters of the Eastern Mediterranean. It combines a vibrant mixture of cultures – influenced by Western Europe, by Asia and by North Africa.
Cyprus operates as a presidential representative democratic republic. The country is divided into two parts – one is occupied by Turkish, while the other one is Greek, and both sides prefer to maintain their own culture. Both Turkish and Greek are the official languages, but Armenian, Cypriot Maronite Arabic and Romani are also recognized as minor languages.
